Hi, my name is René!
I got my first digital camera right around my 20th birthday and haven’t stopped since. I skipped film altogether—it’s always been digital for me.
After a few years abroad, I returned home and opened my first studio in Islands Brygge in 2020. In 2026, I moved to Vesterbrogade, where I work today.
Before I Became a Photographer
I’ve spent most of my working life in the restaurant and hotel industry. When you’ve come face to face with thousands of guests, you learn to read people quickly—whether they’re tired, nervous, or just having a good day.
I still use that. When a customer is sitting in front of the screen looking at their own photo, I can usually tell from their reaction whether we’ve nailed it.
That’s why I always ask for honesty. Tell me if there’s anything about your appearance that you don’t like—a crooked tooth, a nose you think sticks out too much, a side of your face you’d rather hide. The right lighting and the right angle can fix a lot, but I can only help if I know about it. I can’t work magic.
What I’m Doing Today

At first, I photographed everything—weddings, newborns, events. Over time, I’ve narrowed my focus to what I do best:
Corporate and LinkedIn.The majority of my bookings are from companies, for employee portraits and individual LinkedIn photos. It’s concrete work with a clear purpose: people need to look professional and recognizable.
Maternity photography. The complete opposite. Here, there’s room to play more with lighting, backgrounds, and expressions, and these are often the sessions I leave feeling the most energized.
I no longer photograph weddings.
