Hi, my name is René!
I got my first digital camera around my 20th birthday. Like many amateur photographers, I started out taking pictures of friends and acquaintances – and never actually touched a roll of film. For me, it’s always been digital.
My journey
I’ve been photographing since I was 20 – first as a hobby, later as a profession. After a few years abroad, I returned home and opened my own studio on Islands Brygge in 2020. Now I have moved to Vesterbro in a new studio at Vesterbrogade 171.
More than just images
I’ve spent most of my life working in the restaurant and hospitality industry where I’ve met thousands of people. You quickly learn to read people from the moment they walk through the door – their reactions, expressions and moods.
I use this skill every day as a photographer. I follow my clients’ reactions when they see their images on the screen and can instantly tell if it’s right or not.
That’s why I always ask my clients to be honest with me. Tell me about your insecurities – if there’s something you don’t like about your appearance. Maybe it’s a crooked tooth or a nose that you think takes up too much space. Some things the right angle or a well-placed light can help tone down. But I can only help if I know.

My focus today
I’ve had my studio since 2020. In the beginning I photographed everything from weddings to newborns, but over time I found my focus:
Business & LinkedIn
The majority of my work today is corporate and employee portraits and individual LinkedIn images. It’s straightforward, often with a fixed format – and I love helping people look professional and trustworthy.
Pregnancy photography
In contrast, I have pregnancy photography, which is the more creative part of my work. Here I have free rein to experiment and create unique, personalized images.
