Hi, my name is René!
I got my first digital camera right around my 20th birthday and have never stopped since. I skipped the film roll, it’s always been digital for me.
After a few years abroad, I returned home and opened my first studio on Islands Brygge in 2020. In 2026 I moved to Vesterbrogade where I work today.
Before I became a photographer
Most of my working life has been in the restaurant and hospitality industry. When you’ve been face-to-face with thousands of guests, you learn to read people quickly – whether they’re tired, nervous, or just having a good day.
I still use that. When a customer sits at the screen and looks at their own image, I can usually tell from the reaction if we hit it.
That’s why I always ask for honesty. Tell me if there’s something about your appearance you don’t like – a crooked tooth, a nose you think takes up too much space, a side you’d rather not have. The right light and the right angle can solve a lot, but I can only help if I know. I can’t work magic.

What I’m doing today
In the beginning I photographed everything – weddings, newborns, events. Over time, I’ve narrowed it down to what I do best:
Business and LinkedIn The majority of my bookings are corporate, employee portraits and individual LinkedIn images. It’s concrete work with a clear purpose: to make people look professional and recognizable.
Pregnancy photography, the opposite end. There’s room to play more with light, backgrounds and expressions, and these are often the sessions I leave with the most energy.
I no longer do weddings.
