If you have multiple employees or the entire company needs to update their images, take a look at employee portraits.
When in doubt, look to your boss or another industry leader you respect. The way your superiors dress is usually a good indicator of what is appropriate for your industry.
What is considered appropriate attire in the workplace varies widely from industry to industry.
For example, lawyers and doctors are generally expected to dress in a more formal and conservative manner, whereas those working in technical or creative roles may look out of place if they come to work in a suit and tie.
You are more than welcome to bring an extra outfit if you are in doubt, and that way we can shoot a few test shots and find out which outfit best suits the look you want.
Avoid too many different colors, wild patterns or logos on your clothes.
Check also: choose the right colours for your linkedin image.
- I’ll take some test shots so we can decide together which background and pose suits you best. All images go straight to a big screen where we can evaluate them together and you can tell me if you want a change.
- Once we have clarified the background and pose, we work with smiles and facial expressions.
- We continuously mark images that you like, and from these you select the ones you want to finish editing.
- I edit your photos, including removing blemishes, lightening shadows, removing redness, etc.
I’ll send you a login with access to your photos, where you can see the final result, and here you’ll also find your photos in different formats : original / profile / linkedin
When photographing in nature/outdoors, consider whether it gives the desired effect. LinkedIn recommends that the face should take up about 65-70% of the circle, making the background a small part of the image.
That said, we can easily take photos outside and I have some great locations near my studio, but the weather has to be on our side as it can’t rain or be too windy.
- The picture should look like you.
- Simple background so you’re in focus.
- Bright and friendly image.
- A positive expression.
- Take advantage of my 60% of linkedin profile circle.
Certain colours influence our mood, thoughts and behaviour.
For example, red conveys confidence and energy, while navy and black evoke a sense of dominance and authority.
Think about what message you want to convey with your professional images and choose colors accordingly.
- Dark colours are perceived as more formal, dominant and authoritative
- Bright colours make the user appear more friendly and welcoming
- Some bright colours convey confidence and energy
- Subdued colours are conservative and less threatening
- High contrast pairings like a dark jacket and a light shirt can create a powerful CV image that conveys influence and authority
Wearing colours and patterns can help express style and personality. That said, be careful not to let the clothing style overwhelm or date your portrait. Also consider choosing clothes that are not too seasonal (e.g. short sleeves, heavy scarves) so that your portrait looks good all year round.
Avoid too many different colors, wild patterns or logos on your clothes.
Book an appointment and bring a colleague or friend and you both get

Glasses and jewelry are a quick way to show off your personality, but it’s important that it doesn’t distract.
Glasses
If you wear glasses on a daily basis, you should also wear them for your photo shoot as it creates recognition value.
If you have different pairs at home: Bring them all.
Some react differently to studio light in terms of glare, and some create fewer shadows than others. To make sure you won’t regret it, take them all.
But what about reverberations? Glare is typically not a problem these days, as most glasses have anti-reflective coatings. We’re used to dealing with reflections, so don’t worry.
Jewellery
Jewelry is a great supportive accessory to complement your outfit and often has a special meaning that helps you feel more comfortable.
Long necklaces are usually not recommended as they can interfere with the cropping of the main image. Feel free to bring extra accessories so we can discuss the options.
If you typically have facial hair, there’s no need to shave it off beforehand, but you should make sure it’s neatly trimmed and groomed.
If your skin irritates easily after shaving, it’s a good idea to shave the night before to give your skin a chance to rest.
When it comes to styling your hair, you should choose a look that matches what you would present at work. Think about how you typically style your hair for a job interview, an important meeting or a presentation at work. These are the types of looks you should go for.
Bring hair pins or hair products for further styling on site.
If you’re an actor, consider how you style your hair for an audition.
Use neutral shades. Save the purple and green for a city trip.
The main purpose of applying makeup to your face is to even out the skin tone. It doesn’t have to be perfect, we all have imperfections, and I’m a great retoucher, so I take care of that.
Use a liquid foundation if possible. The main reason why liquid foundation is best is because moisturized skin looks great in photos. Sometimes powder foundation tends to make the skin look dry.
If you have freckles, try not to hide them under your makeup. Your freckles look cool!.
I always recommend light eye makeup. A nice separation of the lashes, No false lashes, if at all possible. If you use eyeshadow, I recommend nude colors that match your skin tone.
