What is considered appropriate attire in the workplace varies greatly from industry to industry.

For example, lawyers and doctors are generally expected to dress in a more formal and conservative manner, whereas those working in technical or creative roles may look out of place if they come to work in a suit and tie.

When in doubt, look to your boss or another industry leader you respect. The way your superiors dress is usually a good indicator of what's appropriate for your industry and will help you convey confidence without seeming like you're trying too hard.

For the Business photo session, you are welcome to bring extra outfits so that together we can put together the right expression for you.

Avoid bold colors, tight patterns or logos for shirts and blouses.

Accessories are good additions to your CV image, but it is important that they do not distract from the portrait. Glasses and jewelry are quick ways to show personality and are a personal choice.

If you normally wear glasses, these should be used. But if they are an accessory, include them as an option. Jewelry is a great supportive accessory to complement your outfit and many times has a special meaning that helps one feel more comfortable.

Long necklaces are usually not recommended as they can interfere with the cropping of the main image. You are welcome to bring extra accessories so we can discuss the options with you.

Certain colors affect our mood, thoughts and behavior.

For example, red conveys confidence and energy, while navy blue and black evoke a sense of dominance and authority.

Think about the message you want to convey in your professional photos and choose colors accordingly.

  • Dark colors are perceived as more formal, dominant and authoritative
  • Bright colors make the user appear more friendly and welcoming
  • Some bright colors convey confidence and energy
  • Muted colors are conservative and less threatening
High-contrast pairings like a dark jacket and light shirt can create a powerful CV image that conveys influence and authority

Wearing colors and patterns can help express style and personality. That said, be careful not to let the clothing style overwhelm or date your portrait. Also, consider choosing clothes that aren't too seasonal (eg short sleeves, heavy scarves) so your portrait looks good all year round.

Avoid bold colors, tight patterns or logos for shirts and blouses.

If you wear glasses on a daily basis, you should wear them for your photo session, it creates recognition value. This is how people are used to seeing you!

If you have different pairs at home: bring them all.
Some react differently with the studio light in terms of glare, or some create fewer shadows than others. To make sure you won't regret it on the spot, bring them all.

But what about glare? Glare is typically not a problem these days, as most glasses have anti-reflective coatings. we're used to dealing with reflections, so don't worry.

Still unsure? Bring them along and we'll try a few photos with and without to see what looks best. You have options!

If you typically have facial hair, there is no need to shave it off for your photo sessions. However, you should ensure that it is neatly trimmed and cared for.

If you are normally clean shaven and would like to shave for your photo shoot. Can you shave the night before if your skin is easily irritated by shaving

When it comes to styling your hair, you should choose a look that is consistent with what you would present at work. Think about how you typically style your hair for a job interview, an important meeting or a workplace presentation. These are the types of looks you want to go for.

Bring bobby pins or product to help with additional on-site styling.

If you're an actor, consider how you style your hair for an audition.

Long hair?

Style your hair. Your hair should frame your face. No ponytails, No trendy warrior knot on top of your head. Blow out your hair for some volume.

Use neutral shades. Save the purple and green for a city trip.

The main purpose when applying makeup on your face is to even out the skin tone. It doesn't have to be perfect, we all have imperfections and I'm a great retoucher, I take care of that.

Use a liquid foundation whenever possible for CV and linkedIn picture.

This is not a strict rule. Since some people use powder for different reasons. The main reason for liquid foundation is that hydrated skin looks great on camera. Sometimes powder foundation tends to make the skin look dry, also it can look a little more caked on because of the residue it can sometimes leave behind.

If you have freckles, don't try to hide them under makeup.Your freckles look cool!

I always recommend light eye makeup. A nice separation of the lashes, no false lashes if at all possible. Fake lashes tend to clump together after a while and be longer than humanly normal, but good lashes can look natural. If you use eyeshadow, I recommend nude colors that match your skin tone very closely.
